Scan of a newspaper article: Nuisance can now be logged online. Two new websites allow logging of nuisance noise via online maps. Mike Stigwood of MAS Environmental has launched www.makeyourownnoise.co.uk to allow complaints to be logged against commercial nuisances such as factories, theme parks and wind turbines Complaints can be logged and viewed by clicking on a map or entering a postcode. Stigwood told Noise Bulletin: "The project is at a pilot stage but based on the suspicion that commercial noise is under-reported. Our site allows people to complain about noise anonymously without fear of making their own property difficult to sell and without fear of retribution from the nuisance business. It will also get round the problem where local authorities fail to register a complaint about a business even if there is an apparent nuisance."
